New Hub Job Opportunity!

The Department of Physics at the University of York seeks to appoint a Research Associate to support the deployment of a Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD) network, as part of a project funded by the Quantum Communications Hub. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with academic colleagues and industrial partners working on the same project. CV-QKD is a form of QKD that promises high compatibility with existing optical networks due to its excellent filtering properties.

The new research associate will conduct research in the labs of the University of York and will collaborate with the thriving quantum community in York, which counts world-renowned researchers from the York-led Quantum Communications Hub and from the York Centre for Quantum Technologies, an interdisciplinary centre that includes activities in the departments of Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.

The position is full time and is for a fixed term of up to 24 months.

Closing date: 1 November 2021
